Cypress Gardens, a 170-acre preserve and gardens in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, is located at 3030 Cypress Gardens Road. The 80-acre blackwater bald cypress/tupelo swamp, which is encircled by both boat and foot trails, is the garden's focal point.
Cypress Gardens, in central Florida, was once one of the most well-known public gardens and popular tourist destinations in the United States. Cypress Gardens is still around... it's now part of Florida's Legoland theme park.
This spring, the tourist attraction has large yellow signs urging tourists to be careful along the trails. "A lot of people come in here who have never seen live alligators before, and they need to be cautious," Cypress Gardens Director Dwight Williams said.
What is Central Florida's most well-known and popular tourist attraction? Cypress Gardens would have been the answer in the 1950s and 1960s. The former Cypress Gardens park reopened on October 15, 2011, as LEGOLAND Florida, a park that is both brand new and over 75 years old.
